The ecommerce landscape in China is still evolving. The constant arrival of new players makes it a very dynamic environment. In parallel, updates in various laws and regulations, create new opportunities for companies to explore. It is, as always, critical for companies to be fully aware of the limitation and opportunities which the Chinese legal environment, business environment, and new technologies have to offer.
The purpose of this event is to provide updates on these topic, for companies who already have ecommerce activities, for these who are considering starting ecommerce activities, and for companies who do not have a clear ecommerce strategy or positioning. Dr. Michael Tan, Partner, Shanghai, Taylor Wessing
Michael is the first Chinese partner of Taylor Wessing. He has more than 10 years of experience advising multinational companies in their investment and operations in China. Besides his expertise regarding the general foreign investment corporate matters, he specializes in IT regulatory and data protection issues.
Michael has been advising his clients in various industries, with an industrial focus on IT and other new technology driven sectors. He is familiar with the rapidly developing TMT sector in China.
Patrick Deloy, Founder and Executive Director, Bluecom Group
Patrick Deloy is the founder and executive director of Bluecom Group. Natively German, Patrick has been involved in IT & e-commerce in China for almost 10 years with stations in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
Bluecom is an e-commerce solution provider with offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong. Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City and a team of more than 120 e-commerce developers, project managers, technical architects and business analysts.
