More and more Chinese companies have gone global in recent years. In 2014, the outflow of direct investment by Chinese companies into overseas markets reached USD 140 billion, exceeding foreign investment into China. Do Chinese companies follow the same pattern of globalisation as Western multinational companies? What are the similarities and what are the differences?
The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and the CEIBS Research Centre on Globalisation fo Chinese Companies, along with the China-Britain Business Council will host a forum to share original research findings and first-hand experiences about the globalisation of Chinese companies. In bringing together both leading practitioners and academics, we will able to discuss this new mega- trend and in the process explore how Chinese and foreign partners can work together to develop win-win relationships. We expect between 100 - 150 participants representing various industries related to the globalisation of Chinese companies, including entrepreneurs, executives, bankers, investors, consultants, accountants, auditors, scholars, government officials, etc. A group of 15-20 Chinese CEOs will be invited to attend.
