FIRST HIGHLIGHTS
7 sessions tackling geo-aware technologies: Indoor Location, Location Intelligence, Internet of sensors enablement, security & privacy issues. The 2-day technology track will tackle, among others:
- Indoor Location, the way forward: New indoor maps and positioning techs allow new levels of hyperlocal IoT, with connectivity between people, machines and mobile assets within indoor spaces. Review key drivers across industries, latest innovations such as computer vision… With Here, TomTom, Grizzly Analytics, NavVis, Indoor.rs…
- Location intelligence: Time to leverage the massive historical and real-time datasets of location points (devices, people, vehicles)! Innovations presented include dynamic IoT analysis, geospatial datawarehouse, power of the crowd… With CartoDB, Anagagog (awarded at MWC 2016), Avineon, eeGeo…
- Enabling the Internet of Sensors: solving real-time IoT data bottlenecks, controlling and managing billions of sensors and devices, the new wireless IoT networks (LPWA, BLE Beacons, Eddystone…, UWB, Mobile IoT Initiative, LTE-M, 5G… will be addressed by Pitney Bowes, OpenFog Consortium, BEEM, Ubiscaleand many more companies to be announced soon
- Security & privacy issues: How to make sure that the geo-aware devices, platforms and services are hackers proof? Can the things collect information about users without their permission? Insights and solutions by Intel, Sysorex, TeleCommunication Systems…
- Smart Cities: Learn how the combination of IoT with beacons, crowd location, Big Data, etc. make connected cities smarter, simpler and citizen friendly. With cases from Hungary, Bucharest, Bolzano, Copenhagen, Paris, Bristol…
- Retail & Marketing: A half-day session dedicated to leverage the full potential of location in marketing and commerce: locating the customers, offering them location-aware services, transforming GeoData into business intelligence… will be shown by the Location Based Marketing Association, ESRI, Geoconcept, Movement Strategies…
- Geo IoT for Good: New geo-aware technologies can save lives, drive social change, help science, etc. Multiple case studies will coverSatellites for Emergency, personal health guidance, beacons for visually impaired people…
Further take advantage of the Geo IoT technologies, several learning and innovation discovery events are also part of the agenda. Workshops, tutorials, exhibition, demos, indoor location testbed, innovation awards complements the conference.
- TUTORIAL on OGC SensorThings API
Put hands on the new OGC standard that simplifies and accelerates the development of IoT applications: the SensorThings API specification is semantically rich, very easy to use, and allows for simple modelling. - i-LOCATE PROJECT WORKSHOP
Indoor/Outdoor Location and Asset Management through Open Geodata
This half-day workshop designed by the EU funded i-locate Project (www.i-locate.eu) will help you to realize the LBS opportunities in indoor and outdoor environments.
i-locate has developed a technology to collect indoor/outdoor spatial information and make it accessible as Open Data. The Project partners will detail i-locate pilots firsts lessons and use cases, demo the open source toolkit to develop LBS services while assessing the promises and pitfalls of LBS for business.
View the preliminary agenda - Indoor Location Testbed Event
A unique real-life test of indoor location technologies recorded on video. Attend it or take part in it!
Note also the most innovative products/applications newly launched will also be recognized through the Geo IoT Awards.
